Through prayer, believers bring their burdens to God, seek wisdom, confess sin, resist temptation, receive peace, pray for others, and learn to trust the Lord’s will. Prayer does not mean that every difficulty will disappear or that every request will receive the answer we desire. It means that we do not have to face life independently of God.
Jesus prayed. The apostles prayed. The early church prayed. God commands His people to pray. Therefore, prayer should not be treated as an occasional emergency activity. It should become a consistent part of daily Christian living.

Begin where you are. Come to God sincerely through Jesus Christ. Open your heart before Him, listen to His Word, confess your sins, give thanks, ask for wisdom, pray for others, and surrender your future to His will.
A Simple Prayer to Begin
Heavenly Father, thank You for the privilege of coming before You through Jesus Christ. Teach me to pray sincerely and consistently. Help me to trust Your Word, obey Your commands, resist temptation, and surrender my desires to Your will. Forgive my sins and cleanse my heart. Give me wisdom, strengthen my faith, and help me to pray for others. Let my prayer life bring glory to Your name. In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.
